Barrington Levy (JM) | Dabba Roots (NL) | EM2, Groningen | 08-05-2026
Dabba Roots is a five-piece roots reggae band from Groningen, in the north of the Netherlands. Heavy one-drop grooves, warm keys and a frontman who works the room — with the occasional step up into uptempo ragga. The band is a fixture of the northern reggae scene: festival stages, club nights and open-air sessions in and around Groningen. In May 2026 Dabba Roots opened for Jamaican legend Barrington Levy at EM2 Groningen; the summer took them from the Africa Cup Multi football festival in Paddepoel to garden sessions under the trees. Vocals, guitar, bass, keys and drums — played live, every time.
